809 Squadron to see the SNOWBIRDS!

Instead of our regular parade night on Wed 24th May, 809 will join 337 Fort Erie for the following event:

“On Wed 24th May, the skies over Fort Erie will be filled with the roar of 9 jet engines as the Canadian Forces Snowbirds perform their 2017 show over the waters of Lake Erie at the Niagara River.
I would like to extend an invitation to all NAG Squadrons and Cadet Flying Site Staff to attend the show.  The performance will begin at 1800 and will feature the Team’s entire 2017 show, lasting approximately 30-40 minutes.
Cadets and Staff in uniform will be invited to watch the show from the VIP viewing area, with the chance to meet Captain Paul Faulkner, Snowbird 11 and Captain Blake McNaughton, Snowbird 10, following the show.
On-site parking is limited, with the bulk of the parking on Lakeshore Road and the streets surrounding the site.  Carpooling or busing is suggested for large groups.
A google maps link to the VIP area entrance can be found here: https://goo.gl/maps/JRdW6zoK1rs (Parking Lot on Lakeshore Road at Beatrice Street, Fort Erie).  There will be washrooms on site, but no food or beverage vending available“.

Cadets are asked to CARPOOL as much as possible. Cadets that need a ride are to let Capt Palumbo know so that transportation can be arranged for you. We want to have ALL our cadets out to see the show. Dress will be determined closer to the date (based on weather). More details to follow on the 17th.
