Good afternoon, 809. I’ve returned from vacation refreshed and relaxed and am looking forward to joining you for this week’s training. This week, most of the training is going to be about uniform maintenance, so be sure to bring your blues (on hangers) and your parade boots.

Hello 809. I’m away this week. Lt Russell will have the reins of the squadron while I’m gone. On Wednesday we’re back to regular training and FTUs are the dress of the day for cadets. I’ll see everyone when I return for optional training on Monday, February 13.

Hello 809. On Wednesday night we’ll be conducting a CO’s parade and inspection. Get your blues up to standard and be ready. So, shine your boots, press your uniform and have your appropriate badges sewn on. Also, it’s the first parade night in February. Make sure to have money with you if you need to purchase a new canteen card.

Happy New Year 809! I hope you all had a wonderful and restful holiday break. I’m looking forward to seeing each of you back at the squadron this week. I’d like to take this opportunity to welcome Capt Emptage to 809 as our new Training Officer. Capt Emptage comes to us with a huge amount of experience as a cadet and a CIC officer. Ma’am, we’re excited to have you with us. To celebrate, we’ll be having our first CO’s parade of the year on Wednesday. So, get your Blues ready.

Well, here we are, the last weekend of training for 2022. We have only 2 items this week: Monday optional training and on Wednesday, our 14th Annual Mess Dinner. Following that, we’re shutting down for a well-deserved break. I’d like to take this opportunity to wish the Cadets, Staff and SSC a happy holiday season and I’m looking forward to seeing you all at our Mess Dinner and also in the new year.

Here we are, December already. We have a fairly busy 1st ⅔rds of the month, followed by a nice break. This week, we have Monday Night Optional Training followed by our regular Parade Night on Wednesday. Thursday night is Drill Team with 126 Squadron in Niagara Falls. This upcoming weekend includes the Christmas parade on Saturday. WO2 Abt, FSgt Vidal, and FSgt Dau all have Merit Review Boards on Saturday as well.
