CO’s Message
Hello 809. I was glad to see so many cadets attend the fun day last Saturday. I hope you all had a great time. I know the staff did.
We are now coming up on the last full month of training for the year. Most of the classroom instruction is complete and we’ll be concentrating on practical displays and drill to get ready for the Annual Ceremonial Review (ACR) on Saturday, June 3.
This Wednesday marks the 1st training day of the month, which is a CO’s parade and inspection. So, prep your blues and shine your boots.
Capt Emptage will not be around for the next couple of weeks. She’s busy working on her tan down in the Caribbean. OCdt Bell will be running the training section while she’s away.

1. Monday Evening Optional Training
When: Monday, 1 May 2023 1830-2115
Where: Squadron HQ
Dress: Appropriate Civilian Clothing

Aviation: Exploring the series “Dogfights” and military aviation history.
Sports: Open to everyone. Come out and have fun.
2. Canteen Cards
Canteen cards will be up for sale this week if needed. $20 per card. Please see Mr Abt or Mrs Lett upon arrival to the squadron to purchase prior to joining opening parade.
3. All Female Cadet Conference/Workshop – Saturday, May 6
Where: 128 Squadron HQ – Trinity United Church, 15 Pine Street South, Thorold, L3V 3L1
When: 0915 Arrival – 1600 Departure
Dress: Appropriate Civilian Attire
Lunch will be provided at no cost. Canteen will be available during breaks if you wish to purchase snacks or drinks
