Hello 809. We have an exciting full week of activities planned. Monday is optional training as usual. Wednesday is regular training (FTU’s are the dress of the day). And this weekend we’re having the squadron Fun Day on Saturday, followed by gliding on Sunday (both in civilian attire).

1. Monday Evening Optional Training

When: Monday, 24 April 2023 1830-2115
Where: Squadron HQ
Dress: Appropriate Civilian Clothing

Aviation: Exploring the series “Dogfights” and military aviation history.

Sports: Open to everyone. Come out and have fun.

2. Training Activity

When: Saturday, 29 April 2023 1000-2130
Where: Squadron HQ
Dress: Suitable Civilian Attire
Duty Officer: Capt Emptage

We now have a training day scheduled at the squadron headquarters for Saturday, April 29. This will be an all-day exercise where you will participate in survival, fitness and aviation activities. Lunch and dinner will be provided by the squadron. Make sure you bring a water bottle and snacks throughout the day. Dress for the day will be appropriate civilian attire. You will be spending time outside.

3. Gliding

When: Sunday, 30 April 2023 (PM)
Where: Welland CFS (Niagara Central Dorothy Rungeling Airport, 435 River Rd, Pelham, ON)
Dress: Appropriate Civilian Attire
Duty Officer: Lt Russell

• Any cancellation or rescheduling of this activity will be broadcast over the website, which means you’ll be receiving an email though your Cadet365 account
• Parents will be required to drop off cadets at the activity (If you don’t have the ability to get yourself out to the flying site, please reach out to another one of the cadets participating and carpool if you can)
• All participating cadets have signed up
