Lottery Tickets PAST DUE

As a last reminder to cadets and parents – Lottery Tickets were due back to the squadron beginning in January of this year.

Many announcements have been made regarding the return of the tickets at the closing briefing we have each Wednesday night.

If the tickets are not returned by this Wednesday, 23 March, 2016, they will be marked LOST. As you have already paid for them (in the case of the initial issue), all that is required is for you to fill out the information requested. For those that requested a second or third book, please return them – EVEN IF THEY ARE NOT COMPLETELY SOLD. It is better to have the tickets handed in.

For those that returned them on time and to those that were able to sell additional books – thank you! Every effort is appreciated.

OPC Debating Competition

Greetings,

The OPC is pleased to provide information on the 13th Annual OPC Debating Competition and Workshop scheduled to be held on Sunday , May 1st, 2016 at the Mohawk College Centre for Innovation in Hamilton.

We would like to encourage cadets to once more take part in this amazing program that aims to improve the communication skills of Air Cadets by developing their ability to deliver logical and persuasive arguments and to foster the principles of teamwork in a positive, competitive environment.

You may find more information, by following the link to the debating website –  www.cpi-hamilton.ca/DebatingHome.htm

Last year’s championship debate is posted at the bottom of the webpage and is a great tool and visual aid that demonstrates the debating skills of our talented Air Cadets.

All relevant documents have also been posted on the OPC Website -> Files -> Cadet Program -> Debating – > 2016.

This year’s Debating Program Coordinator is OPC Director Mr. Mark Thususka and he can be reached via email at: m-thususka@rogers.com

and the main contact for Debating Competition and Workshop Registrations is OPC Director and Senior Adviser Mr. Fred Hopkinson and he can be reached via email at fred@hoppy1.ca
